Mayra A. Rodríguez Castro

Mayra A. Rodríguez Castro is a writer and editor. Castro was a postdoctoral fellow at Freie Universität Berlin in 2018, recipient of the Anne Waldman Fellowship at Naropa University in 2019, and a Textual Residency Fellow at Akademie Schloss Solitude in 2025. Her essay, El nuevo sublime, was a finalist for the National Essay and Criticism Award in Colombia in 2019. Her titles include Dream of Europe: Selected Seminars and Interviews, 1984–1992 (Kenning Editions, 2020), a collection of previously unpublished seminars and interviews by Audre Lorde that was shortlisted for the 2021 Pegasus Award for Poetry Criticism; The Echo, with an introduction by NourbeSe Philip (2024); Another Sun, a book of conversations with Françoise Vergès (Divided Publishing, 2026); and Blood (Tender Buttons, 2026).
