New Art School Modality

D16 offers various pathways into the exhibition and proposes that visitors find their own tempo for involvement. These pathways precede the opening, offering opportunities for sustained engagement in the form of artworks, workshops, courses, and dialogue for all. Mediation, Interpretation, and Programming extends process-based opportunities to learn, co-create, and engage. 

As a pathway to the exhibition, The New Art School Modality (nasm) brings to life new forms of teaching, learning, art creation, and impact grounded in an ethos of collaboration. The interplay between nasm and D16 began in spring 2026 and will continue into 2027. This exchange offers a series of courses, emphasizing unhurried approaches to art interpretation and dialogue. Participants, including organizers, curators, writers, artists, and audiences, convene at sites relevant to the exhibition’s imaginary and remotely to engage with participatory approaches. Following each course, traces are created by participants, artists, and collaborators.
